Job Title

Java Programmer

Job Description

Junior- to mid-level software development position for a driven and talented software developer who will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and improving FastSpring's in-house e-commerce application.

Responsibilities

  • Work with other software developers to design and implement applications, using Java code, and enhancements as needed.
  • Maintain and enhance applications on an ongoing basis per user/customer feedback.
  • Optimize performance and scalability as necessary to meet business and financial goals of application and environment.
  • Ability to write accurate and reliable web applications.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility and willingness to pitch in where needed. This may mean on occasion helping with other functions (e.g. QA, System Operations, etc.)
  • Ideal candidate is comfortable doing a bit of everything, including back-end server development, client-side UI development, database query building, etc.
  • Ensure that unit and system tests are automated, per quality assurance requirements.

Requirements

  • Strong written communication skills.
  • Strong Java programming skills.
  • Preferred experience with JEE 5.
  • Familiarity with design patterns and current trends in enterprise software development.
  • Qualifications in Computer Science, Information Technology or Engineering. May have 2-5 years experience in a similar role.
  • Working knowledge of HTML, JSP, Javascript, CSS, SQL.

Job Title

Customer Support Representative

Job Description

Support customers purchasing software and services online, helping with questions/problems related to purchase process and delivery of products. Support may be via telephone, email and online chat.

Responsibilities

  • Answering customer support calls and emails related to order process
  • Track frequent support issues and help escalate those common problems to improve order process
  • Perform and complete other related tasks

Requirements

  • Excellent written and oral communications skills
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Basic knowledge of Internet and Microsoft Windows
  • Professional attitude and goal oriented work ethic
  • Advanced computer software knowledge, Call Center or customer services/technical support experience a plus.
